Incoming Harris County DA will have prosecutor assigned to old cases
Harris County District Attorney-elect Pat Lykos told The Houston Chronicle she may adopt some polices began by Dallas County District Attorney Craig Watkins. Mr. Watkins created a conviction integrity unit and has made overturning wrongful convictions a priority in his office. Ms. Lykos doesn’t plan to go as far as Mr. Watkins has in looking at old cases, though.
